That was exactly the case with this Ellensburg countryside addition, a long-loved home that the owners had cherished for years, but were finally ready to transform into the dream version of itself.

In 2025, the homeowners partnered with TM Construction to fully renovate and expand their countryside property, creating a more open, elevated living experience while still honoring the character of the original home that was built in the 70s. What was once a collection of separated and outdated spaces became a refreshed 2,104 square foot retreat, including a 400 square foot addition, wider spaces, and higher ceilings- all designed for slowing down, hosting loved ones, and enjoying the beauty of rural living.
 

TM Construction reimagined the home from the inside out, opening up the layout to create better flow between gathering spaces and bringing natural light into every corner of the home. The remodel included freshening up every space, including a fully redesigned kitchen, laundry room, and bathrooms, an extended entryway, a new fireplace feature, and both front and back patios that expanded the living experience outdoors.

The kitchen became one of the standout features of the project, designed with oversized Pella windows that frame the surrounding farmland and flood the space with sunlight throughout the day. Italian-inspired details, warm gold fixtures, art-focused statement walls, and modern finishes helped create a space that feels both timeless and elevated, blending countryside comfort with refined design touches we worked hand in hand with the owners to bring to life.

On the exterior, the home was fully refreshed with new siding, updated paint, and ZIP System sheathing to improve weather resistance and efficiency for years to come. The updated modern craftsman style gave the property a completely renewed presence while still feeling grounded in the natural Ellensburg landscape.
 

Throughout the entire process, the homeowners were deeply involved in the stylistic direction of the renovation, while we ensured every finish and detail reflected the way they wanted to experience this next chapter of life. The result is a home that feels new- brighter, more connected, and intentionally designed. This project took approximately one year from start to finish, resulting in a fully transformed forever home that proves you do not need to leave the property you love to create something entirely new.
